Issue scheduling

A manuscript is assigned to an issue only after it has completed editorial screening, peer review, revision, formal acceptance, copyediting, and production. Acceptance does not by itself guarantee placement in the nearest issue; scheduling depends on completion of the editorial process, production readiness, subject balance, and the available capacity of each issue.

Publication Schedule Principles

  • JPPMI maintains two regular issues per calendar year.
  • The stated publication months are May and November; the exact release date within each month may vary according to editorial and production requirements.
  • Submission windows or calls for papers may be announced separately and may close when the capacity of an issue has been reached.
  • Manuscripts must complete the journal's full editorial and peer-review process regardless of the intended issue.
  • Where a special issue or thematic collection is announced, it will follow the same standards of editorial independence, peer review, ethics, and transparency as a regular issue.
  • Corrections, retractions, expressions of concern, or other notices required to protect the scholarly record may be published outside the regular issue schedule.
