Copyright Notice

Copyright ownership, publication rights, and author agreement required during manuscript submission.

Required Author Agreement

Jurnal Pengabdian dan Pengembangan Masyarakat Indonesia (JPPMI) requires submitting authors to acknowledge and agree to this Copyright Notice before completing manuscript submission.

The submitting author confirms that all listed authors have reviewed and approved the manuscript, understand the publication arrangements, and authorize the submitting author to provide this agreement on their behalf.

Acceptance of this notice is part of the submission process. The grant of publication rights described below becomes applicable if the manuscript is accepted and published by JPPMI.

Copyright and Publication Arrangements

1. Copyright Ownership

Authors retain copyright in their work. Copyright is not transferred exclusively to JPPMI or its publisher, CV Media Publikasi Cendekia Indonesia.

Authors remain the copyright holders and retain their rights subject to applicable publication agreements, third-party rights, and the license granted for the published article.

2. Publication Rights Granted to JPPMI

If a manuscript is accepted and published, authors grant JPPMI the right of first publication and a non-exclusive right to:

• Publish and reproduce the article.
• Distribute and display the published work.
• Make the article openly accessible online.
• Archive and preserve the publication.
• Register article identifiers and bibliographic metadata.
• Disseminate publication metadata to indexing and discovery services.
• Maintain the scholarly record, including relevant post-publication notices.

These rights support the operation, distribution, preservation, and discoverability of the journal without transferring exclusive copyright ownership to JPPMI.

3. Creative Commons License

Unless a different license is expressly stated on an individual published article, JPPMI distributes the version of record under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International License (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0).

This license allows others to copy, redistribute, adapt, remix, and build upon the licensed material for non-commercial purposes, provided that appropriate credit is given, the license is identified, any modifications are indicated, and adapted material is distributed under the same or an officially compatible license.

Commercial reuse beyond the permissions granted by the license requires separate authorization from the relevant rights holder, unless otherwise permitted by law.

4. Author Declarations and Warranties

By submitting a manuscript and agreeing to this notice, the submitting author confirms the following on behalf of all authors:

1. Originality. The manuscript is original and does not unlawfully infringe copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other third-party rights.
2. Exclusive consideration. The manuscript has not been previously published as a journal article and is not under consideration by another journal. Relevant earlier dissemination and overlapping material have been disclosed.
3. Authorship approval. All listed authors satisfy the journal's authorship requirements, have approved the submitted manuscript, and agree to its submission to JPPMI.
4. Submission authorization. The submitting author is authorized to communicate with the journal and provide this agreement on behalf of all coauthors.
5. Third-party permissions. Necessary permissions or other valid legal authorizations have been obtained for copyrighted tables, figures, photographs, instruments, and other third-party material.
6. Ethics and consent. Required ethics approval, informed consent, community permission, and consent for publication have been obtained where applicable.
7. Publication declarations. Funding, conflicts of interest, author contributions, data availability, and generative AI use have been accurately disclosed according to journal requirements.
8. Metadata dissemination. JPPMI may register, process, and distribute bibliographic metadata to DOI registration agencies, indexing services, discovery platforms, and appropriate preservation services.
9. Post-publication integrity. The published article may be subject to correction, retraction, or an expression of concern when necessary to protect the scholarly record and in accordance with applicable editorial procedures.
10. Editorial cooperation. Authors will cooperate with reasonable inquiries concerning originality, authorship, data, permissions, ethical compliance, and publication integrity before and after publication.

5. Author Reuse and Self-Archiving

Authors may share and deposit the submitted manuscript, accepted manuscript, and published version in appropriate institutional, disciplinary, or other permitted repositories without a journal-imposed embargo.

Deposited materials should identify the manuscript version accurately. Following publication, repository records should include the complete bibliographic citation and a DOI or permanent link to the JPPMI version of record.

Repository deposit and subsequent reuse remain subject to applicable copyright, licensing, third-party rights, and restrictions concerning confidential community or participant information.

6. Third-Party Material and Community Documentation

The Creative Commons license applied to a published article covers only material that the authors or journal have the authority to license.

Separately copyrighted photographs, illustrations, questionnaires, instruments, educational resources, trademarks, or other materials may require additional authorization for reuse.

Consent to participate in a community engagement program does not automatically constitute consent for public disclosure of identifiable photographs, recordings, quotations, or personal information. Authors must ensure that relevant privacy and publication consent requirements have been satisfied.

7. Confirmation of Submission Agreement

By selecting the copyright agreement checkbox in the JPPMI submission system and completing manuscript submission, the submitting author confirms that all listed authors have read, understood, and agreed to this Copyright Notice.

The submitting author also confirms that the required author permissions and declarations have been obtained and can be substantiated if reasonably requested by the editorial office.

This agreement forms part of the manuscript submission record. The publication rights granted to JPPMI become effective upon acceptance and publication of the manuscript.
