Edukasi Partisipatif Berbasis Modul PEKA KAKI DIABETES untuk Meningkatkan Self-Awareness Pasien Diabetes Tipe 2 di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Lembang

Prevalensi Diabetes Mellitus (DM) terus meningkat secara global dan diikuti oleh tingginya risiko komplikasi kaki akibat rendahnya kesadaran diri pasien terhadap perawatan kaki mandiri. Kondisi serupa ditemukan pada pasien DM tipe 2 di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Lembang, Kabupaten Majene, di mana praktik perawatan diri masih terbatas. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan self-awareness dan perilaku perawatan kaki mandiri melalui pendekatan edukasi partisipatif berbasis modul PEKA KAKI DIABETES. Program dilaksanakan pada periode Juli–Oktober 2025 dengan melibatkan 25 partisipan yang terdiri dari 20 pasien DM tipe 2 dan 5 kader kesehatan komunitas. Intervensi dilakukan melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan edukasi partisipatif, demonstrasi perawatan kaki, distribusi modul edukatif bergambar, dan pendampingan kader. Evaluasi efektivitas program menggunakan desain pre–post test dengan uji Wilcoxon. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada skor pengetahuan dari 12,88 menjadi 14,32 (p = 0,009), sedangkan skor sikap meningkat secara absolut namun belum signifikan secara statistik dari 38,88 menjadi 41,32 (p = 0,330). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa edukasi partisipatif berbasis modul berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan pengetahuan dan mendorong praktik perawatan kaki mandiri pasien diabetes. Program ini berpotensi diintegrasikan ke dalam edukasi rutin Posbindu PTM untuk memperkuat keberlanjutan praktik perawatan kaki berbasis komunitas
