2026

Editorial and Policy Modernization

JHNR strengthened its author guidance and publication framework to improve manuscript preparation, editorial screening, research integrity, transparency, and consistency throughout the publication process.

Double-Blind Review Workflow

The updated policy uses a single-file submission model: authors upload one complete manuscript containing all required author information. Before external review, the editorial office creates and checks a blinded copy by removing or masking identifying information. Complete submissions are normally screened within 2–3 working days before suitable manuscripts proceed to independent review.

Updated Article Template

The 2026 template and Author Guidelines clarify article structure, formatting, research ethics, declarations, tables, figures, references, and OJS metadata.

Responsible Use of Generative AI

The Gen AI Policy requires human accountability, verification, confidentiality, and transparent disclosure of relevant AI-assisted work.

Prospective Data Sharing Requirement

A Data Availability Statement becomes mandatory for articles published in the December 2026 issue and all subsequent issues. Earlier articles are not required to add the statement retrospectively.

Copyright and Open Access

Authors retain copyright. Published articles are freely accessible and licensed under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.

Regular Publication Schedule

JHNR publishes three regular issues each year—in April, August, and December.

2025

SINTA Rank 2 Accreditation

JHNR achieved SINTA Rank 2 accreditation, valid from Volume 1 Number 3 (2022) through Volume 6 Number 2 (2027). The accreditation certificate is available on the journal website.

2023

Academic Collaboration

The journal established an academic collaboration with the Department of Nutrition, Faculty of Medicine, Sultan Ageng Tirtayasa University, supporting the development and dissemination of health and nutrition research.

2022

Professional Collaboration

JHNR initiated a strategic collaboration with Ikatan Sarjana Gizi Indonesia (ISGI), strengthening engagement with the professional nutrition community.

2022

Journal Launch and First Publication

The journal was officially launched and published its first online issue, Volume 1 Number 1, establishing a dedicated open-access platform for research in health, nutrition, and related fields.

In particular, the mandatory Data Availability Statement applies prospectively from the December 2026 issue; its absence from earlier articles does not constitute non-compliance.
