JHNR is deeply committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and journalistic integrity in full alignment with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
We strive to publish articles of the utmost quality, free from errors, inaccuracies, and ethical breaches. We recognize that, despite our rigorous processes, concerns or complaints may occasionally arise. Our policy is designed to address all such concerns systematically, fairly, and transparently. We welcome complaints and aim to resolve issues to the satisfaction of our authors and readers promptly.
Our Understanding of Complaints
A complaint is any expression of dissatisfaction regarding the publication process or policies. It may concern:
- Long delays in publication or responses.
- Decisions by an editorial board member or the Editor-in-Chief.
- Perceived rude responses or misjudgment by an editorial board member.
Scope of Complaints
This policy covers concerns related to published or submitted manuscripts, including:
- Scientific misconduct (plagiarism, data fabrication, etc.).
- Intellectual property rights infringements.
- Significant factual inaccuracies.
- Unethical research practices or editorial process concerns.
How to Make a Complaint?
Complaints from authors and readers should be sent promptly to the Editor-in-Chief at editormpci@gmail.com.

Policy for Handling Complaints
A. Receiving and Investigating Complaints
All complaints should be submitted in writing, providing clear details and supporting evidence. Upon receipt, JHNR is committed to:
- Prompt Acknowledgment: Sent within 2-3 business days.
- Confidentiality: Handled with strict confidentiality.
B. Investigation Process
Guided by COPE's core practices, the process involves:
- Initial Assessment: By Editor-in-Chief and relevant board members.
- Information Gathering: Substantiation of claims from all parties.
- Expert Consultation: With external experts or a Fact-Finding Committee for complex issues.
- Institutional Referral: JHNR does not adjudicate authorship disputes; such matters are referred to the authors' institutions.
- Documentation: Meticulous documentation of all stages.
C. Complaint Resolution and Communication
Upon conclusion, JHNR will communicate the outcome and may implement corrective actions such as:
- Publication of a Correction (for minor errors).
- Publication of an Expression of Concern (ongoing/inconclusive investigation).
- Retraction (for confirmed scientific misconduct).
How to Appeal an Editorial Decision
If you desire to appeal a journal editor’s decision, submit an appeal letter to editormpci@gmail.com. Address this to the editor and explain clearly the basis for an appeal. You should provide:
- Details why you disagree, responding specifically to comments that contributed to the rejection.
- Any new information or data for consideration.
- Evidence if a reviewer made technical errors.
- Evidence if a reviewer may have a conflict of interest.

JHNR takes publication malpractice and conflicts of interest seriously. All authors and editorial board members are required to disclose any actual and potential conflicts of interest (financial, patents, relationships) at submission or upon accepting an assignment.
