Editorial Policy

Editorial Policy

This policy describes guidelines in the publication process of our journal. Specifically, Journal of Community Nutrition Intervention adopts and strives to adhere to the standards and requirements of COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics).

1. Authorship & Submission

Authorship Criteria

An author is an individual who has significantly contributed to the development of a manuscript. The Journal of Community Nutrition Intervention recommends that authorship be based on the following four criteria:

  • Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work, or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work.
  • Drafting the work or revising it critically for important intellectual content.
  • Final approval of the version to be published.
  • Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Changes in Authorship

Changes in authorship will be implemented according to COPE specification. Only corresponding authors can make request for a change in authorship using the Changes in Authorship Form.

Submission

Authors should read the “Authors Guidelines” before submitting. Manuscripts should be prepared according to the journal’s policy and all authors must approve the final version prior to submission.

2. Ethics & Misconduct

Conflict of Interest

Authors, reviewers, and editors should disclose any potential conflicts of interest. The journal’s editorial team will assess disclosed conflicts and take appropriate measures to ensure fair and unbiased evaluation.

Misconduct

Misconduct constitutes violation of this editorial policy, publication ethics, or guidelines specified by COPE, WAME, ICMJE, and STM. Any activities that threaten or compromise the integrity of the community service and publication process are potential misconducts.

3. Peer Review Process

Journal of Community Nutrition Intervention operates a double-blind peer review system to ensure objective evaluation. Manuscripts are assigned to qualified reviewers. Reviewers are expected to uphold the highest standards of integrity, as critical thinking and original assessment are essential parts of the community service publication process.
